Pros: -Easy to use: Scrivener is easy to use (If you ignore all the extra features you probably won't need), even better when you load/start it for the first time, it opens a tutorial of sorts that explains different parts of the software and how it's used. But once you get the hang of it, you'll understand that you can be a really productive writer using Scrivener. There's many ways to look at your document from different angles, and so, yeah, be patient. But more than anything, you should be really patient because Scrivener is really powerful, it has many features. There's a few that enable you to build your reference lists and then bring those into Scrivener with a import. One of the great things about Scrivener is that it has some integrations with some other tools. Once you understand all of the features, then you can become quite productive. So be patient, go through the tutorial, maybe twice. But luckily there's a pretty good onboarding tutorial process, but it's quite time-consuming because the program is so powerful. When I first started using Scrivener, I got a little overwhelmed. I mean, I watched some YouTubes and some tutorial videos, and then once I got into it, I realized that it's a really powerful program. I chose Scrivener because I read online that it's popular with a lot of other writers, and once I got into it.
And one of the reasons why they're not working out for me is the inability to manage multiple documents and research materials, and all kinds of snippets and bits and pieces that you might be collecting in order to build a longer document.
